If yours is missing, write to us and we'll add it here.
Do I need a card to try it?
No. The 14-day trial asks for no card and no payment details. Just an email, so your progress is saved.
What happens when the 14 days are up?
You fall back to the free tier, never to zero. The standalone drills across all three pillars stay open, your Index is still there, and whatever you already finished inside the paths does not close. What pauses is moving further forward.
Does it renew on its own? How do I cancel?
Monthly and annual plans paid by card renew until you cancel, and both the amount and the frequency are shown to you before we ask for the card. Cancelling is two clicks from your account, in the customer portal: no phone calls, no writing to support, no retention screen in between. The lifetime plan is a single payment and never renews.
Does it work offline?
Yes. You install it from the browser and, once installed, it trains with no connection. When you are back online your progress syncs if you have an account.
Does this prevent memory disease?
No, and we don't claim it does. Mente Prima is skills training: reading, memory techniques and mental math. It is not a health product, it does not replace medical care, and it makes no health claims of any kind. If you are worried about your memory, that conversation is with a health professional, not with an app.
Do I get a certificate or an official qualification?
No. The English exam preparation section is unofficial practice material with no affiliation to the bodies that issue those exams. Mente Prima issues no qualifications and no certificates recognised by anyone.
Can I pay at OXXO or by bank transfer?
Yes, from Mexico. Bear in mind that cash and SPEI are a one-off payment, not a subscription: they do not renew on their own, so when the period ends you have to pay again to continue. By card there are also interest-free instalments on the one-off payment.
Can I ask for a refund?
Yes, within 30 days of purchase. It is in the terms and it is honoured without an interrogation.
What is the minimum age?
16, which is what the terms say. Below that age an account cannot be created.
What data do you keep? Do you sell it?
No data is sold and there are no third-party trackers and no ads. Your account stores your email and, with sync, your progress and your systems, so you have them on more than one device; your books and drills live on your device. The privacy notice spells it out.
Is there an iPhone or Android app?
You install it from the browser: open the app, "Add to Home Screen", and it sits there with its own icon like any other. No app store involved.
What is the Index and where does it come from?
It is an in-house measure that folds your three pillars into a 0–1000 figure, computed from your results inside the app and referenced against published population norms. It is not a validated psychometric test or a clinical assessment, and it diagnoses nothing: it exists so you can compare yourself to yourself.
How much time does it take?
The daily path is built for fifteen minutes. You can train longer, and you can configure longer routines, but the design assumes that most days you are in a hurry.
Is the English version a translation?
No. The English edition is written from scratch: its texts, its major-system examples and its lessons were authored in English, not translated from the Spanish edition. Both editions are native in their own language.
I have no background at all. Can I start?
Yes: the paths start from zero and day one is an assessment, not a lesson. The app adapts to what it measured, so starting low does not lock you out of anything.
Can I read my own books? Do they get uploaded anywhere?
Yes, and no. You import your EPUB, PDF, DOCX or TXT files and read them inside, with bookmarks, a chapter index, reading themes and the training on top. The file is processed in your own browser and never uploaded to a server: we do not see it and could not retrieve it if we wanted to. The free plan allows one imported book; the paid one, as many as you like.
Can I save things from a book to memorise later?
Yes. While reading you mark what you want to remember and save it right there as an item, with its cue and its answer. Put it in a system you already have or create a new one without leaving the book, and from then on spaced repetition schedules it with the rest of your flashcards.
What is the difference between a Path and a Ladder?
A Path teaches you the technique: short chained lessons of theory and drills, like a map that opens as you go. A Ladder makes you drill it to a mark: every rung is a full routine with a measurable target and it is not passed by showing up. They work together — you learn it on the Path and you put it in your body on the Ladder.
Can I build my own routines?
Yes. You pick the drills, order them, configure each one (count, timings, difficulty, speed) and save it for reuse. Routines can be exported and imported. And if you would rather not decide, the coach builds the session from the minutes you give it.
Does it have flashcards and spaced repetition?
Yes, and they run across all three pillars: the items in your memory systems, the mental-math methods you get wrong and your English vocabulary all come back when they are due. Memory also has a failed-recognition queue: whatever you did not recognise in time keeps insisting until it comes without thinking.
Are English and the exams included?
Yes, on the paid plan. There is a full English path with keyword-method vocabulary, a word explorer with rung-based review, and practice material for 6 exams with timed mock tests. It is unofficial practice with no affiliation to the bodies that issue those exams.
Are there licences for schools or teams?
There is no published group plan yet, but we are talking to centres. Write to us with how many people it would be and we will tell you what exists today and when the rest is coming.
